Ruščina (''rússkij jazík'') is the largest spoken Slavic language. It is the official language in the Russian federation, Bielorussia and Kirgizistan. Also, it is one of the six official languages of the United Nations.

Russian partners and tourists have been gaining a more and more important position in the Slovenian economy. We, therefore, expect and hope that our already established relationship will continue successfully and expand even more. In a few years time to speak Russian will probably not be just an advantage but a business necessity.

The elementary course programme will help you learn the language basics in order to enable you to find our way while travelling in Russia as well as to meet their culture and habits. The greatest challenge certainly presents the Cyrillic spelling; and we will do our best to get over this apparent difficulty just as quickly as possible. All those who, however, wish to expand your vocabulary and improve your fluency in Russian as you might need it for specific purposes are invited to join an advanced or a business course.
